The idea and premise behind ortizonline.com is to create a place for the dissemination of issues that are of concern to the technology community in particular the security community. This sites viewer focus is primarily on Windows NT/2000 and Unix users. There will arise occasions when the inclusion of information related to MVS, or AS/400 will be necessary, for example articles relating to NT/2000/Unix/MVS/AS400 integration. The sites creator was Efrain Ortiz,Jr. Efrain Ortiz,Jr. will be maintaining the content of the web site. Article submissions are accepted and appreciated.

Ortizonline.com is the creation of one individual. One of the primary objectives is to spread technical procedures. Ortizonline.com will not try to cover the news of yesterday or today, but rather it will try to show how a technical person can use technology TODAY!  There are plenty of sites on how to learn about this and that, but ortizonline.com will go a different direction and show the methods and common practices that can be used in the day to day job. Ortizonline.com will try to make up in quality, what it lacks in quantity.

Who is the person behind Ortizonline.com?

Ortizonline.com was created by Efrain Ortiz,Jr. Efrain Ortiz,Jr. is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and a Microsoft Certified Professional + Internet Specialist, and CIW Security Analyst an SCSP and a CISSP. Some of his past work experiences include positions in Internet Security Vulnerability Testing, Internet Security Administration and Analysis, LAN/WAN administration on Windows NT/AS400 environment and as Systems Engineer in the I-Business, data integration area. Primary among his skills is Internet Security testing. Efrain Ortiz has played and worked on computers since 1986 starting with the TRS-80 II (lovingly referred to as the TRASH 80), later with dosshell, Windows 3.1/3.11/95, NT 3.51/4.0/2000,Linux, AIX, HP/UX, OS/400, &  SunOS.
